The recent report by
the Council addresses the following topics:
- Economic Recovery
and Domestic Poverty,
- Fatherhood and
Healthy Families,
- Environment and
Climate Change,
- Inter-Religious
Cooperation,
- Global Poverty and
Development, and
- Reform of the Office
of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.
The Council made
twelve recommendations for reforming the Office of Faith-Based and
Neighborhood
Partnerships.

The National Council

New Inter-Agency Working Group
on Religion and Global Affairs
This
Working Group will be jointly sponsored by the U.S. Agency for

Database, Search
Feature for ETA Youth Grants by Geography and Category Now Available.The
Employment and Training Administration's Office of Youth
Services has recently introduced a comprehensive database which permits
a
review of all Formula-Funded
Grants and Discretionary
Grants by state
and/or initiative.
State
Fact Sheets
The
Economic Research Service State Fact Sheets contain
frequently requested data for each State and for the total United
States.
These include
current data on
population, per-capita income, earnings per job, poverty rates,
employment,
unemployment, farm and farm-related jobs, farm characteristics, farm
financial
characteristics, top agricultural commodities, top export commodities,
and the
top counties in agricultural sales. The latest (2007) data on county
and State
poverty and median household income are now available.
